From our first day at 2331 Forest Drive, we set out to create a dining experience rooted in authenticity. Our founders grew up around outdoor grills, family kitchens, and the kind of communal meals that bring people together. That spirit has never left us — it lives in every dish we serve.

2014

The Beginning

Chopt opened its doors at 2331 Forest Drive, Annapolis. With a small but passionate team and a menu built around live-fire grilling, we welcomed our first guests on a warm summer afternoon.

2016

Expanding the Menu

After listening closely to our growing community of regulars, we expanded our chopt restaurant menu to include seasonal specials, vegetarian options, and a signature catering program.

2018

Community Recognition

Chopt was named one of Annapolis's top dining destinations by local food critics. We celebrated by doubling down on our partnerships with Maryland-based farmers and suppliers.

2020

Adapting & Innovating

When the world changed, we adapted quickly — launching contactless ordering, expanding curbside pickup, and introducing our online catering service to keep Annapolis well-fed.

2022

Kitchen Renovation

We invested in a full kitchen renovation, upgrading our grilling equipment and adding a dedicated prep space to meet growing demand while maintaining the quality our guests expect.
